ZHX Image Grabber ("the Extension") is created and maintained by ZHX Labs ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy outlines our commitment to transparency and explains how data is handled when you install and use the Extension across modern web browsers (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox).

1. Browser Permissions and Justification

To perform its core functions efficiently without compromising user privacy, the Extension requests the following specific permissions:

• All Sites Access (<all_urls>) and scripting / activeTab: The Extension is designed to scan and download images from any web page at your direct request. This permission is also required to fetch cross-origin image resources from third-party CDNs when compiling local ZIP packages. The Extension only executes when you explicitly click to scan and never monitors your browsing activity in the background.
• declarativeNetRequest: Used dynamically to attach legitimate Referer headers to specific image download requests. This is strictly required to bypass third-party CDN hotlink protections (preventing HTTP 403 Forbidden errors). These rules are automatically cleared as soon as downloads finish.
• alarms: Used to periodically verify license cache validity in the background without persistent polling or unnecessary resource consumption.
• downloads and storage: The downloads permission enables saving individual images or compiled ZIP archives directly to your machine. The storage permission saves your local preferences (theme, language, dimension filters, naming templates, and license cache).

2. Data We NEVER Collect

We practice strict data minimization. We do not inspect, collect, store, or transmit to our servers:

• The contents of web pages you visit (text, DOM structures, credentials, or sensitive inputs)
• The images, thumbnails, or files you scan and download
• Your browsing history or visited URLs
• Your personal IP address for user tracking or behavioral profiling

Image dimension filtering, thumbnail rendering, watermark processing, and ZIP archiving are conducted 100% locally within your client browser.

3. Local Scan History

The Extension includes an optional local history view for convenience. This history is stored entirely in your browser's local sandbox (browser.storage.local). It is never sent to our servers and can be wiped at any time using the "Clear All History" button in the Extension panel.

The Extension contains no third-party tracking scripts, analytics, or advertising telemetry. We do not sell, rent, or monetize user data. Backend communications are restricted to our Supabase Edge Function solely for license entitlement checks over encrypted HTTPS.

6. Your Rights
