ZHX Labs ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains how the ZHX Image Grabber browser extension collects, uses, and protects your data.

1. Data We Collect

The extension collects the following:

• Install ID (a random identifier created once during installation) – used for the licensing system.
• Scan history (page URL, title, list of found images) – stored locally on your device.
• User preferences (theme, language, filename template, excluded domains, filter presets) – stored locally.
• License status – periodically checked with our server.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, etc.) unless you voluntarily submit it during a license claim.
• Browsing history outside of the scans you explicitly start.
• Data from websites without your knowledge.

3. How We Use Data

• Install ID and license status are used solely to verify licenses and enable/disable the watermark.
• Scan history and preferences are stored only on your device (chrome.storage / browser.storage) and are not sent to our servers except during license activation.
• When you submit a subscription claim or activate a license key, the data you provide (proof link / channel username / serial number) is sent to our server for verification purposes.

4. Storage and Security

• Local data is stored using the browser's storage API.
• Communication with the license server uses HTTPS.
• We do not sell or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• activeTab & scripting – to scan images on the currently active tab.
• downloads – to download images and ZIP files.
• storage – to save history, preferences, and license status.
• declarativeNetRequest – to set the Referer header so image downloads work on certain sites.
• host_permissions (<all_urls>) – required because the extension needs to work on any website you visit.

6. Your Rights

You may at any time:

• Clear scan history using the feature inside the extension.
• Remove all local data by uninstalling the extension.
• Contact us regarding license-related data.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
